Ofte stillede spørgsmål
-
What exercises can be done with the Utility Seat and how?
The Utility Seat can be mounted on the ISO Arms to perform leg presses. It can also be mounted on the crossmembers or Flip-Down Safeties for box squats, box jumps, and step-ups; on Spotter Arms for the same movements (rack must be bolted to the floor or stabilized with Front Foot Extensions). For additional exercise ideas, check out our blog.
-
Will this Utility Seat fit my non-REP power rack?
This utility seat was designed to fit a 3x3” post power rack with 1” or 5/8” holes and with outside widths of 47” and 49” to fit most power racks with those specifications. Keep in mind, due to machining variables, we cannot guarantee compatibility with non-REP products.
-
What rack is this compatible with?
The Utility Seat is compatible with both the PR-4000 and PR-5000 (47” exterior width), as well as racks with a 49” exterior width, such as the Oxylus Yoke, if using the additional liners (included).
-
What comes included with the Utility Seat?
The Utility Seat comes with
- Eight mounting pins: four 5/8” diameter pins and four 1” diameter pins.
- Additional liners for 49” wide racks.
You can purchase a pad and band pegs separately. If you purchase the pad you will also receive 3 meters of protective tape that you can put on the bottom of the seat to prevent metal-on-metal contact.
-
Can I only mount the Utility Seat on my Flip-Down Safeties?
You can mount the Utility Seat on Flip-Down Safeties. However, the seat can also be mounted in between the rack uprights, on REP ISO Arms, Spotter Arms, and on the rack crossmembers.
-
Is there a warranty on the Utility Seat?
Structural welds on attachments and frames have a lifetime warranty. Pins have a one-year warranty. The pad has a 30-day warranty.
-
How low can I mount my Utility Seat from the floor?
- If you have the original version of the Rear Base Stabilizer: 560.1mm/22.1” from the floor
- If you have a Rear Base Stabilizer 2.0: 360.1mm/14.2”
- If you have no Rear Base Stabilizer: 360.1mm/14.2”
On the Crossmembers:
- 178.5mm/7”
On the Spotter Arms:
- 510mm/20.1”
-
For seal rows, is there any protection to prevent my bar from contacting the metal of the seat?
The Utility Seat comes with 3 meters of protective tape that you can choose to install on the bottom of the seat. Put it on the metal “edges” of the seat to prevent metal-on-metal contact and to protect both the seat and barbell, as well as reduce the noise.
-
Can I purchase a regular bench pad to use with the seat?
No, the Utility Seat Pad is specifically designed for the Utility Seat, with mounting thumbscrews to secure it in place and for quick removal.
-
Does the Utility Seat have a storage option?
Yes. You can purchase Band Pegs to store your Utility Seat. This will only work on six-post racks that don’t have the Ares or Athena attachments. Also, if you buy the Utility Seat Pad, that cannot be attached to the seat while you have it stored.
-
Does the Utility Seat come with a pad?
The seat has a rubber lining, but you can add a dense, foam CleanGrip vinyl pad for more comfort, especially useful for prone exercises, like seal rows.
-
Will doing ball tosses with the Utility Seat scratch my uprights?
No, your uprights will be fine, even if there’s a little sound when the ball hits the seat. Toss away!
-
What do I need to know to get the most out of box squats with the Utility Seat?
To get the most out of this movement, we recommend using the Utility Seat with a 41” deep power rack with no Rear Base Stabilizer.
-
How can you leg press with the Utility Seat?
You will sit on your bench facing your ISO Arms. Put your feet on the Utility Seat attached to the ISO Arms, loaded with weight. For this set up we used the weight horns to secure the Utility Seat to the ISO Arms instead of the included pins. For the leg press, you can’t have the Rear Base Stabilizer, Lat Pulldown & Low Row, or Ares installed.
-
Why am I having a hard time getting the Utility Seat to fit my rack?
If you don’t have a Rear Base Stabilizer on your rack, it may be a little crooked or angled. In this case, we recommend loosening the pull-up bar and Logo Plate Crossmember, which can straighten up your rack. Attach the Utility Seat to the middle of the lower crossmembers. Once adjusted so it fits and slides across, you can retighten the pull-up bar and Logo Plate Crossmember.
-
What size Band Pegs should I choose?
If you have a PR-4000 power rack and are connecting the Utility Seat to the rack, Flip-Down Safeties, or ISO Arms, you need the 5/8" Band Pegs.
If you have a PR-4000 power rack and are using the Utility Seat on the Spotter Arms, you need the 1" Band Pegs.
If you have a PR-5000 power rack, you need the 1" Band Pegs, no matter where you attach the Utility Seat.
